My New Nieces!

My little sister Jen had twin girls last month and these sweet little angels have been so fun to photograph and practice my photography skills on. Here's a few of them in their easter dresses.

RSL "Dream Team"

For those of you who don't know it, we are a soccer family, and big fans of Real Salt Lake. Mathis' soccer team La Roca got invited to walk the RSL Players out onto the field before the game yesterday. There was also an extra space for Hayden to be able to walk out with the opposing team, he was so happy to be included! This is such a fun thing for kids to be able to do, they call it the "Dream Team" and they hold hands with a player and then stand with them during the National Anthem, my photos are a bit blurry due to zooming in from pretty far away, but you can still tell they were having a blast! RSL beat DC United 2-1 so that made the whole day even better!

Here is Mathis with some of his teammates waiting to walk down to the players.

The Big Egg Hunt!

My Family has a tradition to have a big Easter "Treasure Hunt". The boys' cousins, Parker and Sarah were here from Cheyenne for the Big Hunt. The kids have to wait at the front porch with their eyes closed (Hayden kept trying to Peek) Then we say "ready GO!" and the kids run off to find their alloted eggs, of course no one wants to be the last to find all their eggs, so it becomes a race. This year Parker was the last one and we couldn't find his last egg anywhere, until Mathis recounted his eggs and found the "missing" egg, OOPS!

Mathis didn't want any help getting this egg from the tree, so up he goes climbing into his favorite tree in Grandma and Grandpa's front yard!

After the Big Hunt, they move on to the Treasure Hunt. They all take turns following the "Money Eggs" which leads them to a big basket full of special Easter presents!

HAPPY EASTER!

Easter Eggs

Well I haven't been such a good Blogger lately, so now I'm going to try and play catch-up and post everything that's been going on in the past couple of months.
First off...Decorating Easter Eggs! We went to Grandma West's house and the boys were excited to get to decorate their eggs with their cousins. They started off being very specific on how they wanted their eggs to look, painting every color very carefully...but by the end they just wanted to dunk them in every color to see what the final result would be.

And here's the final product!
